So I’ve been super busy the past few years (can’t believe it’s been 2 years since I last properly blogged)… I’ve been to Iceland and New Zealand and had the most amazing experiences.
One of the most amazing things I did whilst in New Zealand was a penguin discovery experience in Kelly Tarlton’s Sea Life Aquarium in Auckland. The experience allowed me to go into the enclosure with King and Gentoo penguins for 30 minutes and have photos taken with the beautiful birds. My love of glaciers means that I am of course incredibly passionate about the Arctic and Antarctic, particularly the risks facing our poles, and being able to meet Antarctic penguins was a heartwarming experience. It sounds silly but to see the penguins first hand made the risks of climate change to the Antarctic seem so much more real… it’s scary to think these beautiful creatures could be homeless if climate change continues at such an alarming rate.
Anyway, enough worrying; here are some photos from the experience! One very happy me, and some very cute penguins!
My degree/studies distracted me too much from blogging, but I recently rediscovered this blog and decided to give it a go again - so here’s to posting more photos of glaciers, mountains and beautiful scenery!
Hope you all enjoy!
